Thor Thorvaldsson was born in the Westman Islands, a cluster of volcanic islands off the south coast of Iceland, and lives in Munich. Singing took him to the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he studied opera. He has sung on stages in Iceland, England, France, Germany, Austria and across Scandinavia.
In 2010 he started High and Low in Salzburg and wrote, composed and arranged everything the band played. Their debut “Narrow Road” came out in 2012: folk, soul and bar jazz, played at room volume. The band ended in 2014; he has been writing under his own name since.
